Memoir
This blog was birthed on July 28th, 2010 under the name, Memoirs of a Pianist. From age 9 to age 17 I took piano lessons and learned how to love and hate music throughout the process.
My blog evolved to entail the lessons I was learning at the time, my witty philosophies, and the values I deemed important through my adolescence.
Memoirs of an Alien is appropriate now that I've broken all the barriers of what an artist means, for myself. I'm everything in one; very little reason to conform at this point.
What began as an "I'm right about life" method transformed into the art of detail thanks to writers such as Dr. James Reitter, Dr. Ellen Dolgin, and Michelle Valladares.
After meeting Heather Seller and listening to her read You Don't Look Like Anyone I Know, I was inspired to approach the art of memoir from a different angle.

The upright piano my father bought me is still in my living room, and I still make love to it.
