The Fact; You Almost Came Close

"I have a lot to say to the people I ignore." - Joe Budden
They always ask me what I would change about my life if I could. I'd probably decide to change the amount of times I smiled the day before. I'd smile more... that's about it. I wouldn't change one single thing about my life. Any scenario that has ever gone down, positive or negative, has been a lesson learned. I wouldn't replace the wisdom I've gained over the years with anything. I've become a better person over the years, spiritually and mentally. The road to happiness is a long and rough one but possible nonetheless. I feel my soul becoming brighter every second that I continue to live this wonderful life. The soul of the world has provided me with nothing but blessings. The few people who have supported me are engraved in my heart. Let that be known.
I have many things locked up inside the vault of my soul that are way too cold to function. We all do. Fear has the ability to stretch and manipulate itself to interfere with any positive situation. It's so easy to get discouraged in a society that has a definition for everything you should and should not do. We see it daily, Twitter, Tumblr, commercials, TV shows... it is inevitable. These "perfect" examples are always hovering above us; the black cloud that follows us all. You either choose to walk away from it, or constantly place yourself under it.
"Society ruined the teenager" I suppose, and right now I'm just looking around, taking everything and and observing the my surroundings. These insecurities eat people alive daily. We don't wanna see anyone around us succeed and we receive this attitude from the TV screen. Humans are really this cruel and really this mean because we walk around like we don't have feelings. People will strive for money, but they won't fight for equality. We protect our image instead of our neighbor, reputations rather than strangers in danger. We want to block out the realities that this world brings so we pretend like we don't know what's going on. WAKE UP. "Niggas is brainless to unnecessarily go through these changes."
Many people will go on believing that the way they live is "correct", people who ignore their emotions and hide behind a smile and some makeup, a camera, and some nice expensive clothes that only labels them. Sexual satisfaction only when they get laid; becoming less satisfied every time they get paid. We act like this is okay, because we've been taught to embrace routine, love our 9-5's and do exactly what we see on TV. I've seen 12 year old girls in lust with the fast life, the sex and drug life, the glamorous life that they shouldn't even be concerned with. Growing up is considered cool now. Welcome to the generation where it's not okay to act your age. You gotta catch up to the older ones. Immaturity isn't the issue anymore. I walk into Forever 21 and see nothing but middle and young high schoolers now. We wanna be them and they wanna be us. Go figure.
On top of many things, love is considered a joke now. People fall in love with the idea of love, let's be serious. Most people seek relationships just because they feel lonely or because they see someone else happy. Just for the record, relationships with another person will not bring you happiness. You need to be content by yourself in order to spread positiveness to someone else. Society has changed the way we view relationships. Everyone is emerged in other people's business 24/7. I had to get away. Please let me get away from this madness that everyone gladly partakes in.
Have you ever worked so hard for something? Fought for something you really wanted? At any moment did you understand that there is a possibility of not achieving that goal? Sometimes, we don't fight hard enough; expecting that things will fall into our laps.
I learned from a wise man that there are two types of people in this world: people who drift through life waiting for a spontaneous breakthrough and people who make a daily effort to move towards their goals. I refuse to be someone who drifts throughout life. Wasting my daily 24 is not something in my agenda. We are given so much time and we do not take advantage of it. One day, we will not have the youth, nor energy to do half of the things we have the time to do now. I'm gonna visit the pyramids before I turn 30, not when I'm 80 and can barely walk.
Food for thought is more than just a saying... it's a way of life.
